AWARDS GIVEN AT ANNUAL PRESENTATION EVENING
On Sat 6 Feb 2010 the band and their friends and families gathered together at the Leewood hotel to celebrate another successful year together. A fabulous four course meal was enjoyed by all followed by dancing until midnight. Highlight of the night was the giving of our annual prizes for service and commitment. This year we presented two new trophies in memory of our former chairman Bob Davies. The band have purchased 20 small trophies for the winners of the "band member of the year" and the "junior band member of the year" to keep for ever. This year the winners were (pictured left to right) band member of the year Nathan Gratton, junior band member of the year was Joe Ramsay and supporter of the year was Mark Rushworth (treasurer),. Best attendance was given to Laura Critchlow while cornet player Mae Rogers was given most improved player award.
