On the 25th June 2024, as part of the Burbage Works project, Burbage Band invited Andrew Kershaw and Sue Addison from the Queen Victoria’s Consort to run a historical musical instrument workshop. They brought along a fantastic selection of instruments dating from the early to mid 1800s to demonstrate and for the band and training band to try out. Some of these would have been the same type that Burbage Band purchased back in 1861 when the band was formed. The band had an amazing time learning about and playing these very old instruments!
